At 5am on 26 May the show team was awake, loaded up and on the way to the 2008 Northumberland County show. This was Barnacre Alpacas first ever show and we were looking forward to it and hopeful of any ribbons that we would be fortunate enough to win. Despite a set back with Ursula who could not compete because her microchip did not match her pedigree certificate (a warning to everyone who buys or shows alpacas) we had a fantastic day.
Oonagh was the first alpaca in the first class, no pressure then!
We were delighted when she won 4th place in the junior white female class.
Next up was Chiquita in the junior fawn female class.
She took 2nd place followed by reserve junior champion. It appears size really does not matter!!!
Finally it was Loki's turn to win 2nd junior black male.
