Following a long and thorough search we acquired three fantastic stud males late in 2008 to advance our growing herd and provide our clients with some of the World’s finest alpaca genetics. In addition, Loki has been with us since he was a cria, we thought he might be special even then. Our two through-and-through white stud males combine rare elite genetics from famous Australian EP Cambridge herd sires (EP Cambridge Peruvian Spartacus, Jolimont Commisario, Jolimont Gianmarco, Jolimont Sculptor and Jolimont Encantador) with beautifully proportioned physical characteristics and fleeces to produce what we believe are explosive combinations.  Both arrived at Barnacre on 13th August 2008. Our brown herd sire was chosen due to his amazingly consistent and uniform colour. He is from the stud line up of alpaca judge and fleece expert David Barnett (Purston Alpacas) and was available from 27th August 2008. Finally, Loki is a fantastic blue black male. Testicle size and fertility are directly correlated according to P. Walter Bravo of Peru. If true then Loki must be one of the most fertile alpacas in the UK, and he knows it! Our premium stud service has been designed to reflect the very best we have experienced and includes ‘on farm mating’ at our bespoke tranquil rural setting; mobile and ‘drive by’ matings.  We are available at a time and location of your choosing (subject to prior bookings). We will openly share with you the last shorn fleece for each stud male, three-year fleece histogram reports and full pedigree information.  We will also be providing continuous and honest information about the progress of each male and their eagerly awaited offspring.
